Manual Transmission Model

I assembled a manual transmission model downloaded from Thingiverse.

I did not design this model, but I wanted to share it because it's so awesome! The original author is ericthepoolboy and you can find the .stl files in the above Thingiverse link. The author has also uploaded models of engines, transfer cases, and other really cool stuff. Check it out if you're interested!

I downloaded the .stl files and submitted them to a 3D printing service to be made in MJF Nylon 12. Assembly involved sanding parts to fit, gluing bearings, and cutting the stainless steel rods. I made a pedestal to mount the transmission on which includes a small motor, power jack, and power switch. I bought some sprockets and chain to connect the motor to the transmission.
